Pappy Gander’s was built in 1901, in Merrill Oregon.  Where Breakfast is served all day long with many choices; Eggs & Meat, Pancakes, French Toast and 3 egg Omelets.

Lunch offers Hamburgers, Several Sandwiches; Grilled Cheese, Roast Beef or Chicken, Club, Tuna, Turkey or Patty Melts, French Dip, BBQ Beef, Polish Sausage, Rueben, Steak Sandwich and they claim to serve the “Biggest”. Soups and Five different Salads are available.

Dinners are served with Soup or Salad, your choice of locally grown Mashed Potatoes, French Fries or Baked Potato and Veggies upon request. A few of the Dinner choices include; Ribeye and New York Steaks, Chicken and Seafood, Liver & Locally grown Onions, Pork Chops, Chicken Fried Steak and Appetizers.  They offer a Senior Special Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner for 62 and older.

Captain Jack’s Stronghold Restaurant & Catering

An old-fashioned roadside Restaurant with a full Breakfast Menu, Homemade Soups, Breads and Burgers for lunch. Their Dinner menu offers many choices; Prime Rib, Chicken and Seafood, Fresh Salmon and Halibut, Ribeye Steaks and much more.  They have a Salad Bar that stands out in particular. It’s stocked with good quality greens and delicious house-pickled cucumbers, carrots, and beets. Various Appetizers and homemade Pies are also served.
